God teaches me the true meaning of Valentine's Day

Yesterday marked to be the most significant Valentine's Day of my entire life. I truly hope it will set the precedence for those to come.
God is awesome. There is no doubt about that. He is feared over all the earth. Some fear Him because they KNOW that He has the ability to strike them down on the spot, whilst others are in awe of His mighty wonders.
The point is: God exists in a way that is past human comprehension. He also blesses His children gracefully. Grace means unearned and undeserved favour and acceptance.
The first good news I had yesterday was a message from my mother that she had made a decision regarding her future that would not only bring happiness to her, but even greater blessings from God. She has decided to take on more of God in her life and less of herself. And Scripture teaches us that this is delightful to the Lord.
She later told me that she had received her visa to come and see me in the US. I had prayed and believed the Lord that when she went for her special interview at the Consular Office in Johannesburg, that her interviewer would be more compassionate than ever.
Afterwards, she told me that they courier your passport to you with the visa inside. Therefore, you only know whether you have been approved or denied, but not for how long.
I then started praying and believing that God would not let the compassion end so soon. Yesterday, she told me that they had granted her a ten-year visa. How awesome is the Lord!
At the end of my working day, a good friend called me. Friends of theirs were supposed to sell furniture to us over the weekend, but they ended up having a couple come by the night before we were due and this couple bought everything. We were not too disappointed, figuring that God obviously had something else in line for us.
My friend called me and said that the gentleman felt awful about the situation and that they are going to buy new furniture. Their old love seat and chair would then be ours - free of charge!
On our way home, my husband and I received a call from his mom, telling us that she had bought a new van at a wonderful price. She came over last night to show it to us and it was incredible. I am so happy for her. God has been faithful to yet another child.
When she came over, she brought us a Valentine's/House-Warming Present of towels, hand towels and a shower curtain for our new bathroom in the colours I had told her about.
God is awesome. He has proven to me that Valentine's Day is not about Candy, Flowers and Hearts, but about Love. Unconditional Love.
Agape is the Greek term that the Apostle Paul used in 1 Corinthians 13. It is a rare word, just as True Love is a rarity. Agape means going against natural human inclination. It is a deliberate choice of the one who loves rather than the worthiness of the one being loved. Agape means to give without expecting anything in return.
God loves us in the agape-way. May all your days be Valentine's Day. May all your Valentine's Day be filled with Agape.
